Outdoor Games for Boys can be interchanged with the outdoor games for girls section.  It just seems that, more often than not, boys play these outdoor games more than girls.

Four Square

Four square is a great game to play outdoors! You will need a playground ball and some chalk. First thing is to draw four even squares to make it look like a window. Then label them 1, 2, 3 and 4. You will need four players, one in each square. The four square is the highest position and always gets to serve. The person if four bounces the ball and then hits it into another square. If it bounces successfully into another square then the person in that square must hit it into another square. When someone hits it outside the square its "out of bounds" and that person is out of this game. They either go to square one if there's only four players or they are out and go to the end of the line. Everyone else moves up a square and a new player comes into square one. It's one of my favorite outdoor games.

PIG

PIG is a great outdoor game played on the basketball court.  Some kids or adults can make this game very fun.  This game can be played with any amount of people.  Take foul shots to see who goes first.  The first player shoots from where ever they want to and if they make it then all the other players must shoot from the same spot.  if they miss then the next player gets to go.  If the other players miss the shot that was made then they get a "P".  The object of the game is to make all the other players spell P I G.  Once someone gets a G they're out.

Cops and Robbers

There's a lot of variations to this outdoor game and most kids make up their own rules anyways. The basic idea is that there are 2 groups. One group of cops and one group of robbers. Some play this on foot, similar to tag and some play it on bikes so that you can actually pull someone over. In order to pull someone over the cop must catch up to them so that the bikes are even and the robber must pull over. Then they have to stay there until another robber comes and tags them free. It's an ongoing game until the kids feel like switching the cops and robbers.

Ultimate Frisbee

This outdoor game will require a lot of room similar to football. One team starts with the frisbee in the middle of the field being played on. The person with the frisbee cannot run with it. They can only pivot on one foot while trying to throw it to another player. If they throw it and the other player catches it then they cannot run either, they must stop and try to throw it to another player on their team. If the other team intercepts it then play goes the other way and the object of the game is to get to the touchdown area to score. If the other team knocks the frisbee down but doesn't intercept it, then they get possession starting where they knocked it down. The team with the most points wins the game!
