Outdoor Games for Kids 2
Outdoor Games for Kids are a great way to keep them busy for a few hours outdoors! You can teach them a few new games and they'll play all day.
Camouflage
Camouflage is a great game to play outdoors for kids! One person stands in the middle of the yard (or area), closes their eyes and counts to 10. Everyone else has to start right near the person counting and once they close their eyes everyone has 10 seconds to run and hide. Now the game gets a little bit similar to red light green light. Everyone hiding, however, must be showing some part of them (if you're hiding behind a tree then you must show your foot or hand) so that it's possible for the person IT see you. The person IT cannot move from the spot they're in to try and find people. They can only look around. If the person IT cannot find anyone then they close their eyes and count to 10 again. At this point everyone HAS to move spots. The object of this game if for the people hiding to tag the person IT while they're counting. So if the person IT starts counting it would be beneficial to move a lot closer to them, but you can't be seen so be careful!
Hide 'n Seek
This is a game that can be played indoors or outdoors. One person is designated IT and must close their eyes and count to 10. Everyone else runs and hides. Once the person IT is finished counting the game begins! They must seek out and find everyone. Listen for noises and look for anyone anywhere! The first person found will be IT next game.

Tomato
This is also a game that can be played indoors or outdoors. It's not so much about who wins and it is about laughing and having fun. A person is designated IT and must sit in the center of the circle. The object of the game for this person is to NOT laugh! Everyone else will take turns asking the person IT questions and the answer can ONLY be tomato. So the people asking the questions want to ask something where the answer Tomato will be funny to make the person IT laugh. "What did you eat for breakfast?" "What's your favorite color?" "What would you rather be doing?" I'm sure you can think of something better!
TV Tag
This game must be played outdoors so that the kids have enough room to run around. Its a simple variation to the game Tag. One person is designated IT and must chase everyone and try to tag them. If someone is tagged they must freeze until someone else "unfreezes" them by tagging them. Once they unfreeze the person they must yell out the name of a TV show. No one is allowed to repeat a TV show and if they do they automatically become IT. If they can't think of a show then they remain frozen until they do!
